George and Amal Clooney granted French citizenship after concerns of raising children in Hollywood

Actor George Clooney and his family have been granted French citizenship, according to official government documents, after he previously expressed worry about raising his children in the glare of Hollywood. A gazette notice listing all new French naturalizations, published on Saturday, names Clooney, his wife, Amal Clooney, and their twin children, Alexander and Ella. Clooney, who is also an American citizen, and Amal, a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer, are already well versed in their new home country: They own a farm in France, their primary residence, and have homes in England and near his family in Kentucky, the New York Times reported in February.
